Meet the Tutors #3 and #4

Introducing…Eugenie van Oirschot
Eugenie is travelling all the way from The Netherlands to participate in the 2012 International Millinery Forum!

Eugenie is one of The Netherlands’ top designers (self-educated, mind you!) with a passion for creating special hats that can almost be referred to as objects.  Her innovative design concepts and remarkable fabric development are what make her hats famous and she always seems to find a perfect balance between deign and functionality, making her creations an amazing wearable piece.

Eugenie has received a number of awards for her creations, including the UKs The Hat Magazine’s ‘Designer of the Year’ award in 2001, British Hat Guild’s ‘Best Workmanship’ award in 2001, Le Concour International Museé de Chapeau in 2001 and held an exhibition in Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum in 2000.

Eugenie will be running workshops on experimenting with the magic of flat patterns, and twisting and pleating.

Introducing…Kerrie Stanley
